What a splendid event the Pune Farmer’s Market is. The choicest options of food, along with artisan goodies such as organic bathing products and pottery. If only there was enough shade provided (I’m particularly sensitive to the Earth’s sun, quite unlike that unrealistic ‘alien’ ‘Superman’) it would be the perfect way to spend an entire Sunday.
The chilly dog from Offside Sports Bar was delectable. Picture a mouthwatering pork sausage nestled in a soft bun and slathered with a light meat flavoured sauce. Yum.
Some great presentations.
Cheeeese! (Flanders Dairy)
Edible spoons! What a delightfully clever concept. Made with ingredients such as riceflour and jowar, this would be the perfect accompaniment for soup or even hot chocolate.
A stunning array of chocolate brownies from The Brownie Cottage. Apparently they deliver all over the country. Marvelous.
I sampled the Belgian chocolate brownie. It was rich but not too much so, with a surprisingly crunchy, crumbly crust and a sinfully gooey centre. So good.
Food by-products as well.
This delicious specimen from Tutto Bene had everything you could ask for in a bacon cheeseburger: a succulent juicy, beef patty (excellent quality meat I must say), slightly melted cheese, sauteed brown onions, tangy gherkins and of course, scrumptious bacon. Drool.
What I really liked was the customer was given the option to choose their burger toppings. So considerate!
Almost too pretty to eat! Almost.
One of Frugur Pop’s delightful and tasty fruit flavoured popsicles-among the most refreshing things I’ve come across.
